The Lord

IS MY SHEPHERD

Bethel Lutheran Church

Merry Christmas from Bethel Lutheran Church

As a member of the United as One Lutheran Parish of the Western ND Synod, Bethel Lutheran Church (ELCA) is located in Battle View, North Dakota, where you will quickly see a little church on the hill.  Our mailing address is PO Box 436, Powers Lake, ND 58773-0436.

Bethel gathers for Sunday worship at 11:30 am. Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of the month. There is a children's sermon every Sunday, and young people participate in Sunday School at Holy Cross in Powers Lake at 10:30 am.

As you see above, Bethel Lutheran has a beautiful tradition of a community Christmas candlelight program on every December 23 at 7 p.m. Musical pieces and children in a pageant help us experience again the wonder of Christ's birth for our lives.

There is an active quilting group and Women of the ELCA gathering, and there is coffee fellowship every Sunday at 11 am before the service.

We are a church that believes in the grace of God, knowing that we are never alone but that God is with us through faith, hope, and love. We trust in the Lord who is our Good Shepherd. We therefore are called to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6.8). As we go out from the Bethel church, each of us goes out as a house of God. These are the ties that bind us together as the adopted children of God.

We hope you will come and visit us soon! You are welcome.
